Know Me Better (2)

Know Me Better is a meme hosted by Kathy at I Am A Reader, Not A Writer. Each week she will post 5 questions from her author interviews and answer them herself. She invites us to share our answers as well!

Question 1: Is there anything you would like to say or as your favorite author?

Well, seeing as how I have several authors that I love I'll have to make this a general answer: DON'T STOP WRITING. You're all amazing and I love reading your books and sharing your love for your characters.

Question 2: Are you a dreamer or a realist?

realist: noun
1. a person who tends to view or represent things as they really are.
2. an artist or a writer whose work is characterized by realism.
3. Philosophy . an adherent of realism.

dreamer: noun
1. a person who dreams.
2. a person who lives in a world of fantasy; one who is impractical and unrealistic.
3. a person whose ideas or projects are considered audacious or highly speculative; visionary.

I would have to say a little bit of both, leaning more towards the dreamer side. While I do know that certain things are real and set in stone (such as me having to work to survive), my head does tend to drift toward the clouds quite often and I have dreams of doing more than just working a 9-5 job. I also tend to see events coming but imagine all the different outcomes, knowing that most will certainly not come true. I think a lot of that is why I read so much. Escaping my reality and entering into an entirely different on.

Question 3: Theater or Rental?

The answer to this really depends on the movie and how bad I want to see it. Like with The Hunger Games or Harry Potter I would go to the theater and see them at the midnight showing. After my love of Twilight dwindled I got to the point that I would just wait until the movie came on DVD and bought it to watch. And with other movies that I haven't seen or didn't have a desire to see when it was in the theater but later on decide I want to watch, I'll rent them to see if they're worth buying.

Question 4: Share a family tradition.

On Christmas Eve night, we've always went to my papaw and mamaw's (my dad's parents) house to open gifts. Every year since I can remember my aunt has given us homemade cross-stitch ornaments. We have so many of them now that they have their own little tree. Then Christmas morning we open gifts at home, eat breakfast and then go to my aunt's house on the other side of the family to open gifts. We've done this my whole life. I can't remember a year that we didn't, other than my being too sick to go. Now we've added another destination on Christmas Day before we go to my aunts. Ever since I gave birth to my son we go to his dad's grandparents house.

Question 5: Favorite late night snack.

Well, I don't really have a go-to snack. It's mainly just whatever's in the house to snack on at the time. Unless there are chips and dip. I could eat a whole bowl of the stuff in one sitting.

It's your turn now!
