30 Day Book Challenge: DAY 1

Welcome to DAY 1 of the 30 Day Book Challenge! Today, I'm going to tackle a very difficult question. Or at least it's difficult for me. It says 'OR' but I think I'm going to do both anyways.

A book series I wish had gone on longer:

I really loved this series. It was the perfect balance between romance and action and it had such amazing vampire lore to go along with it. Even though Richelle Mead has expanded on the world through Bloodlines, giving us a look at the Alchemists side of things, I really miss reading about Rose and Dimitri and all of the vampires in general.

Honorable Mention:

If JK Rowling announced this second that the Harry Potter books were to continue (in some form or fashion) I would probably jump up and down screaming. I would love for her to expand even more on this magical world.

A book series I wish would end already:

This is going to sound contradictory because I enjoy reading the books, but the series has just been drawn out for far too long. What series is that you ask?
Right now there are ten books total in the series. This doesn't include the Fledgling Handbook, or the novellas that have been released. Sure the storyline is good, but when I read a new House of Night novel I can't help thinking "Okay, the story is going to end with this one," but it just never does...

They already have the cover for the next novel Revealed up on Goodreads, and it would seem that there is going to be a book after it as well (book #12) called Redeemed. Will that be the end of the series? Or will they come up with something else to keep the series going?

Well, that's it for DAY 1! I'll be back tomorrow with another question to answer. :)

Comments

  1. I love HoN, but I couldn't agree with you more. At this point, every time I pick up the new book I have to TRY to remind myself what happened in the last one. They've all sort of blurred together into one massive clump.

    Can't wait for Day 2!
