With one look, I’m his . . .

With one touch, he’s mine . . .

With one kiss, it changes everything between us . . .

I’ve been famous since I can remember. Singing, acting, dancing—I’ve done it all. The tabloids cover my every move, but I don’t want that anymore. I want to be normal, whatever that is.

When I leave Hollywood for college in Vermont, I’m on my own for the first time in my life. This is my chance to figure out who I am and what I want in life.

But it’s a lot harder than I expected. I can’t escape my image. Classes are difficult, and I’m struggling. And then there’s Caleb Fox.

Sexy, intriguing Caleb Fox.

Caleb is the one man who doesn’t want to use me. He breaks down my walls. He challenges me. He wants me. And I just don’t know if I can give him the same—or if he’ll stick around when he finds out my shameful secret that the tabloids haven’t managed to uncover.

Dating him is risky enough, but loving him could break me.

NOTE: Because of mature content, this book and review should only be read by those 17 years of age or older.

This is the first book from NetGalley that I've read and I am so glad that this was my first. Stay With Me is a quick, fun read with low drama and easy to love characters. Hailey Bloom is famous. Really famous. She has been in the spotlight since she was a baby--singing, acting, you name it. But she leaves that all behind to try to have some sort of a normal life. She moves to Vermont to attend college, leaving her Hollywood self behind, and meets the gorgeous, sexy Caleb Fox. He breaks through all of the barriers she's put up in order to save herself from the hurt that the Hollywood life caused her.

Caleb is just amazing. While Hailey is just discovering who she really is and wants to be, Caleb is self-assured, confident and all around gorgeous. He's the kind of guy that every girl hopes to find one day. And it doesn't hurt that he's rather skilled in the bedroom. Hailey is extremely hesitant to pursue any kind of relationship with Caleb, but he's persistent. In the end, she gives him a chance and discovers that there are people in the world who aren't just going to use her.

The only problem I had with Stay With Me is Hailey's mother. It's because of her that Hailey has the image she does. The one that isn't so good. Her mom pushed her to do all the things she could, even convincing her to date guys just for the fame that came with it. Her own mother used her for fame and fortune, selling her secrets to the gossip magazines at every chance. Which I guess could actually happen, but it still bothered me. And the fact that their relationship was kind of just left as it was. There wasn't really a reconciliation of any kind which I was really hoping for--I wanted her mom to apologize in some way and make up for all her past wrong doings.

While that part of the story wasn't too happy, the rest of the story is just so sweet. I loved the blossoming relationship between Hailey and Caleb. He was such a gentleman and really showed her that he cared about her and not the famous girl from the tabloids. It was also nice to see Hailey making friends that she could actually trust.

If you're wanting a light read--nothing heavy and dark--then I definitely suggest reading Stay With Me. It's the perfect balance of sweet and sexy and you'll fall completely in love with Caleb.

  1. This one looks interesting. I agree with you, I'm not crazy about that mother though it happens. Great review :)
