THE TROUBLE WITH BACHELORS

Windy City Bachelors #1

Releasing March 21st, 2017

Falling for her sister's first love, how could that possibly go wrong...

Zach Thorne is supposed to be off limits. He’s her sister’s high school boyfriend and his love life is a revolving door of women. He’s also handsome, sexy and the one guy Emma Callahan has never been able to forget.

Now they’ve been thrown together as best man and maid of honor for her sister’s wedding and some serious sparks are flying. Zach is perfect wedding fling material until he starts to take their romance seriously. Now, Emma is left wondering: is he for real or is she about to get her heart broken?

The trouble with bachelors is you never know.

The Trouble With Bachelors is my first Caitlyn Blue book, and I have to say that it was rather enjoyable. I was a fan of Emma and Zach from the very beginning of the story. Their chemistry was undeniable and it surprised me that it took them both as long as it did to realize their feelings for each other. Or rather for Zach to realize his feelings for Emma. Her feeling were much more prominent than his, even though she denied that fact through much of the book.

Emma was a likable character, although I couldn't understand why she always did every little thing for her sister Julie who treated her so poorly. I mean, Julie dated Zach in high school, and it was after she knew that Emma had a thing for him, but she went after him anyways. That's a really crappy thing to do to your sister. Emma seemed to walk on eggshells around Julie when it concerned Zach, and I honestly believe that if it hadn't been for Julie jumping in between them, they would have ended up together back in high school. Even if Zach was the popular upperclass jock and Emma was a shy freshman.

While I enjoyed the story and watching Emma and Zach's relationship grow, I wish I had seen more character development between the group. This is a standalone series, so I'm sure I'll eventually get more concerning the rest of their group of friends/family. I just feel that the relationships between Emma, her cousins, her sister, and their significant others could have been explored much more deeply than it was.

Overall, it was a quick fun read with quite a few steamy scenes so if you're looking for something to read on a nice weekend afternoon, this is definitely one you should pick up!
